At the School Fair
Many schools have a summer fair. They hope that people will come and enjoy themselves. Fairs have a variety of stalls and sideshows. Some offer food, or attractions like fortune-telling. At other stalls people pay money to play a game. They hope to win a prize. Some games require skill, others are just a matter of luck.

You will be looking at stalls which give prizes. Before you start, here are some points for you to think about and discuss.

a Why does the school have a fair?
b What does the school want each stall to do?
c What do visitors want a stall to do?
d Use your answers to a, b and c to list the important features of a stall.
e How would you decide how much to charge on a stall?
f How would you decide what prize to give

Remember these points as you look at the stalls below. Afterwards you may like to design some stalls of your own
